India’s Big 5 Wildlife Expedition

Embark on a 17-days India Wildlife Safari, capturing India’s Big Five—the Royal Bengal Tiger, One-Horned RhinocerosAsiatic ElephantLeopard, and Indian Gaur.

The journey begins in the grasslands of Kaziranga National Park, home to the one-horned rhinoceros. As the morning sun illuminates the wetlands, we will frame these prehistoric giants grazing or wading through shimmering waters.

Next, we head to Rajaji National Park, a rugged sanctuary where the elusive leopard prowls.

At Jim Corbett National Park, India’s oldest wildlife reserve, we will photograph herds of Asiatic elephants and Royal Bengal Tiger, which we will seek along riverbanks and jungle trails.

Our tiger quest continues in Tadoba National Park, known as the “Land of Tigers.” Here, we will photograph these regal felines resting, stalking prey, or making dramatic appearances near waterholes.

The expedition concludes in Kanha National Park, the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. Its vast meadows and towering sal forests provide cinematic backdrops for our final tiger encounters. We will also have a chance to photograph the Indian Gaur, often seen grazing at dusk, completing our Big Five collection.

Know your team

I’m a professional wildlife photographer, explorer, and award-winning visual storyteller based in Agra.

When you travel with me, you’re signing up for more than just a wildlife tour — you’re stepping into an immersive journey where every detail is thoughtfully curated, and every moment is designed to inspire.

From coordinating safari jeeps and managing logistics seamlessly in the background, to actively tracking elusive tigers and pointing out birds you never knew existed — I’ve got the wilderness covered. But the adventure doesn’t stop there.

Between safaris, I’ll keep you engaged with captivating stories from India’s rich cultural tapestry — tales of royalty, rituals, and flavors that run centuries deep. We’ll talk Indian food (yes, the real stuff, not the restaurant version), local traditions, and the kind of folklore you won’t find in guidebooks.

And of course, photography is the heart of it all. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned shooter, I’ll guide you through composition, framing, and storytelling through your lens. We’ll review images, discuss camera settings on the fly, and dive into hands-on mobile editing sessions — from photo post-processing to crafting cinematic reels right on your phone.

This isn’t just a safari — it’s an experience designed for the curious, the creative, and the wildly passionate. You’ll leave with great memories, stunning visuals, and a deeper connection to India’s wild soul.

Our Jungle Safari Vehicle

Safari vehicles play a pivotal role in capturing great photographs during jungle safaris. In India, the Maruti Gypsy 4×4 is commonly used for this purpose. These vehicles are designed with three rows of seats, accommodating up to eight passengers. Their open structure and elevated seating arrangement offer excellent visibility, enabling photographers to get clear, unobstructed shots of wildlife and landscapes. The 4×4 capability ensures that the vehicles can navigate through diverse and challenging terrains, bringing photographers closer to nature’s wonders. Yes I do (Harsh) because I am a passionate photographer and it is second nature for me to instinctively have my camera in hand, but my first priority is to be available to you as a resource. The areas we are visiting are already well scouted by us. We have spent quality time doing our research. That’s why I don’t need a camera for my personal work. My camera is usually the last up and the first down. When I am looking through my camera, I will be seeing things as a professional photographer. The purpose will be just to check that we are at the right position or need to re-position the vehicle or background is not distracting.
